Dr. Hayes is new to DC and District Vet! She is originally from St. Petersburg, FL and obtained her bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in Spanish at the University of Florida before attending the University of Illinois for veterinary school. Her medical interests include behavior, dentistry, feline medicine, preventative medicine, and soft tissue surgery. Dr. Hayes has a three-legged chihuahua terrier mix named Hank and a siamese cat named Mako whom she adores. When she’s not taking care of your furry family members she enjoys exploring the city, crocheting, sewing, tending to her plant collection, and spending quality time with her friends and family.
